All are welcome! Come to dance, sweat and GIVE! The 1st 50 pre-registered participants will receive a special goodie bag and all pre-registered participants will receive an event T-shirt if you're confirmed by February 10th.

The Big Hearts Fund is a Chicago non-profit organization dedicated to raising funds and awareness for canine and feline cardiac disease. Created in 2010, by Christy Drackett, herself an owner of a young dog with a congenital heart defect, The Big Hearts Fund is fueled by the belief that pet’s lives are valuable and deserving of appropriate medical care regardless of the financial limitations of their owners. To that end, The Big Hearts Fund has just launched its Financial Aid Program, offering assistance to families whose dog or cat is in need of specialized veterinary care for cardiac conditions.
Formed in March 1996, The Dance COLEctive challenges assumptions about how dance is presented through cutting-edge choreography, innovative collaborations, and inspired and creative site-specific-works. TDC’s vision has led it to become one of Chicago’s premier dance ensembles, recognized for its compelling, socially relevant, and inspiring choreography. In fulfilling this mission and vision, TDC:
• Embraces collaboration as a core element of its creative process • Values the athleticism, grace, power, and strength of its dancers • Nurtures and promotes the creativity of emerging artists
The Dance COLEctive (TDC) and The Big Hearts Fund, in a mutual desire to promote family wellness, hold their first joint fundraiser, “Wholehearted Wellness Jam 2012: ZUMBATHON,” Thursday, February 23, 5:30–8:30 p.m. at Grossinger City Autoplex, 1530 N. Dayton, Chicago.
The two-hour ZUMBATHON®—four 30-minute sessions—also features local health- and fitness-focused businesses offering complimentary services and products geared toward the health of animals and people alike. The evening includes refreshments, a raffle and a silent auction, and the first 50 guests pre-registered by February 14 receive a special goodie bag.
ZUMBATHON® sponsors include KIND Healthy Snacks, Peeled, Aligned Modern Health, Nutrisults, South Loop Dental Specialists, Ora Dental Studio, Envirosax and Grossinger City Autoplex.
